Douglas is a successful project professional and well-respected highly organized leader with a strong and proven track record of delivering results. He has used his extensive experience to develop a project management and project leadership program for business people, that has been delivered to several hundred people with very positive results. He is bringing a version of the training customized for energy professionals to Saga Wisdom.
Douglas considers himself a well-grounded Canadian and he is proud of his roots in our resource-based industries. He grew up on a farm in Northern Alberta, worked in a sawmill, and worked in the oil patch – all before he was 18. He spent nearly 17 years in Canada’s Navy and held command of two minor war vessels. He spent five years with a large international consulting firm, and nearly 23 years with upstream and mid-stream oil and gas companies.
He founded Leadmark Project Delivery with services initially focused on project planning. Governance, assurance and team building, with the focus shifting to project training in 2024.
