Robert M. Franklin III is the Managing Partner at RFS Consulting LLC and a lecturer at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business. He has extensive experience providing CFTC and SEC derivatives regulatory and risk management advice to global investment banks, FinTech startups, and energy/commodities firms. A native Houstonian and small business community advocate, Robert began his career in financial services with Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy and Operations practice in Washington, D.C., where he developed key compliance strategies for global financial institutions.
While at BBVA USA Bank, he developed and administered the Dodd-Frank Act compliance training program and co-led the BBVA USA Americas Compliance program. Prior to founding RFS Consulting LLC, Robert served as the Global Derivatives and Commodities Compliance Director at Cargill. He holds an MBA from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University and a BS in Finance and Banking from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia.
