Robert M. Franklin III is the Managing Partner at the RFS Consulting LLC and lecturer at Rice University Jones School of Business. Robert has deep experience and expertise providing CFTC & SEC derivatives regulatory and risk management advice to global investment banks, FinTech startups and energy/commodities firms. Robert is a native Houstonian and small business community advocate. Robert began his career in Financial Services with Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy and Operations practice in Washington, DC developing key compliance strategies for global financial institutions. While at BBVA USA Bank he developed, administered the Dodd-Frank Act Compliance training program, and co-led the BBVA USA Americas Compliance program. Prior to forming RFS Consulting LLC, Robert was the Global Derivatives and Commodities Compliance Director at Cargill. Robert holds an MBA from Tulane University A.B. Freeman School of Business and a BS in Finance and Banking from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia
