Hossein Golshen is a distinguished expert in the oil and gas industry, with over 44 years of experience spanning technical, industrial, operational, and research domains. His expertise lies particularly in gas engineering, where he has made significant contributions as both an educator and a professional trainer.
Dr. Golshen holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Abadan Institute of Technology in Iran and earned his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Manchester and the University of Cambridge in England. He has also served as a visiting professor at the University of Calgary, where he played a key role in training industry professionals in gas transmission and compression.
Throughout his career, Dr. Golshen has been actively involved with esteemed engineering societies such as ASME, APEGA, IPC, and Chem. Eng. Sci., and has authored numerous technical papers published in prestigious journals. In collaboration with his colleagues, he co-authored the book Pipeline Design & Construction: A Practical Approach, first published in 2000, with its third edition released in 2007 by ASME Press. The book is widely used in academia and industry, solidifying his influence on engineering education and professional practice.
