Amir Ghaderi, PhD, P.Eng.
Reservoir Engineering | CO₂-EOR & Storage | Simulation & Data Science
Dr. Amir Ghaderi is a reservoir engineer with 15+ years of experience in CO₂-EOR, sequestration, and advanced simulation. He leads modeling efforts for Alberta’s largest CO₂ storage project linked to the Alberta Carbon Trunk Line, managing 15,000 tonnes/day of CO₂ across multiple carbonate fields.
Amir holds a PhD in Reservoir Engineering (University of Calgary) and is pursuing an MSc in Data Science (Georgia Tech). He blends deep technical knowledge with digital innovation, including AI-driven tools for field optimization and carbon offset tracking. His work spans legacy reservoir modeling, CO₂ strategy design, and simulation using CMG and SLB platforms.
As a trusted consultant and instructor with SPE, Amir has delivered Python and AI training to hundreds of professionals and published in leading journals. His expertise also includes regulatory submissions, PVT/EOS modeling, and advisory roles in major Canadian field developments.
