This course is designed to provide engineers with the basic tools and best practices for approaching acquisitions and divestitures in upstream oil and gas. The course addresses the importance of defining company specific acquisition objectives and leveraging these objectives to direct resources towards the most accretive acquisition opportunities. Additionally, the course explores underwriting best practices for modeling asset inputs, identifying synergies, QA/QC techniques, and uncertainty quantification and the incorporation of all these elements into the valuation process.
