Unconventional Well Testing Master Class

This course will focus on rate and pressure measurements commonly encountered during initial production testing of unconventional wells and the effect those measurements can have on performance diagnostics. In Section 2 we will look at examples of rate and pressure data acquired from different types of measurement equipment, and we will learn about using the production ratio’s plot to QA/QC test data. Next, we will learn how to identify measurement errors and how to identify reservoir effects that can influence performance diagnostic interpretations. In Section 3 we will explore the application of real time well performance diagnostics used during initial production testing for draw down optimization. Finally in Section 4 we will look at a general analysis workflow for the interpretation of initial production testing data for well characterization and estimation of ultimate recovery.
